The Client was looking to redevelop an existing building to the rear of their property in Richmond. The Existing building was 6m x 5m brick built single storey, which was used as an artist studio by previous occupiers. The building had some services but not all.
The Client has now got planning permission for a two storey new build property on the original site. The building is part sunken with a lower ground floor to keep proposed property’s roof height along the line of the original building.

The aesthetic requirements for the design were a modern glazed adaptable environment using sustainable technology allowing as much daylight as possible into the property. The interiors will be adapted to the Clients requirements and at present a simple neutral palette is applied.
