The brief was to redevelop an existing three storey sealed office building into 19 residential units. Following a successful application for change of use, a separate application was submitted for a new façade and landscape redesign. DJADS developed the design into building control and tender packages and the project started on site in November 2014.
The design intent was to change both the use and the feel of the building from one of a typical 1970’s corporate look to one that would look and feel very much as a welcoming high end residential building. Other briefs were to develop the apartments with internal layouts that will have a high appeal to young professionals, with integrated smart technology, low energy bills, natural cross ventilation, increased energy performance and generous internal layouts and external balconies.
