On the Ground floor:- the wide entrance hall leads to a reception room with a bay window to the front. The Client wanted to keep this as a formal “adult” living area and to divide it from the rear.
Leading through to the back of the house there is an extremely spacious kitchen/family room. Lots of natural daylight flood the area from rooflights with inset light fittings to highlight task areas. The Kitchen island becomes an informal dining space /breakfast bar.
We also created a separate formal dining room where part of the old reception room was leading into the open plan kitchen area. Bi-folding doors leading from the kitchen to the terrace and out to the 59 feet southwest facing garden. Adjacent to the kitchen the Client wanted a small study area and laundry room off the hall and a WC.
