A proposal for retirement living, the scheme would appeal to a wide demographic, in terms of life style, property size requirements, privacy and budgets.

A proposal for retirement living, the scheme would appeal to a wide demographic, in terms of life style, property size requirements, privacy and budgets.

The proposal has 4 residential accommodation types and a community hub:-

  1. Cabins in the Wood- detached buildings set within a forest.
  2. Pavilions in the Park- detached buildings within managed landscape.
  3. Flats in the Park– detached buildings separated into flats within a landscape.
  4. Central House- multiple flats of different sizes within a single low-rise building

Community

Communal Hub and Services;- Social interaction is very important for the health and wellbeing and the community hub would house a wide range of activities in spaces that were multifunctional, adaptable and appear more like a 4 or 5 star Hotel. The external landscape would be an extension with facilities for external sports and other activities. The 4 different accommodation types allow for varying degrees of independence and of social interaction.
